About

I like to get lost in the sights and smells of a new city, in good conversations with friends and in the love of a good man. Perpetually inflicted with wanderlust, I often dream of foreign lands and make every excuse to travel.  I love people, adventures, spicy food, rain drops, laughs, a good book and warm summer breezes.

I love that Louisville has become such a foodie destination but a little disappointed that attention are only given to a small selection of restaurants in certain parts of Louisville.  The food at these places are decent but they all share the same hipster vibe (think mason jars, distressed furniture and an unhealthy obsession with bacon), pricey menus, and Bardstown/Nulu locations.

I started this blog to share with everyone my discovery of hidden and off the beaten path eateries in Louisville.  I want to check out the great soul food joints in West Louisville, the ethnic restaurants in South Louisville, the mercados on Preston Highway where Spanish is a must, and other neighborhoods around Louisville. The decor might not be fancy and craft beer is a foreign concept, but I can always count on food to be lovingly made, the owners to come to my table to strike up a conversation, and to always learn something new about my Louisville.

So if you're looking for something different, check my blog weekly to discover the other side of Louisville.  I'm always looking for something new and different to do and will share events, venues, activities, festivals, etc. going on in Louisville.  I like to save money so you can be sure that these posts are budget friendly!
